PTA NEWS
Wiley PTA was honored to receive the Head Start Award from Texas PTA. This award is given to PTAs who have achieved 75% or more of the previous year's total membership. Currently we have 326 members and our numbers keep growing! We encourage parents, students, LISD staff and community members to become a member of our Wiley Middle School PTA.
Our Glow Dance has a new date! Thank you all for your patience and understanding regarding this rescheduled event.
Whether it be Clothes Closet, helping out at events or filing papers in the front office, we need volunteers! You must be a Leander ISD Approved Volunteer to help out in our schools and at events. You can fill out the Volunteer Application here. After, keep an eye on our social media channels for our Volunteer Sign Ups!

Letter from the President of Wiley PTA
Welcome back returning families and a heartfelt welcome to our new Wiley Middle School families!
I am honored to work with our amazing group of parents this year on the Wiley Middle School PTA Board. We will have a great year because of our dedicated and amazing volunteers!
An effective and successful PTA requires support and involvement of the parents and guardians of our students. Your first opportunity to show support is to become a member of the Wiley Middle School PTA. Our goal this year is to have a voice for every child and we need your help to make this happen!
The second way to show your support will be to participate in the exciting events and programs that we have planned throughout the year. Middle School PTA is nothing like Elementary PTA. No Room Parents, no Wednesday Folders and PTA meetings are held only 4 times a year! If you have 30 minutes or a couple of hours in or outside of school hours, your ideas, your time, and your talents are truly needed and appreciated!
I invite you to stay informed of our upcoming events by liking the WMS Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/WMScoyotes, bookmarking our website http://www.mywmspta.com and attending PTA meetings. Students are always welcome to attend.
Please contact me anytime about PTA events and activities. I am here to assist you in any way that I can. I look forward to meeting and working with each of you!

Wiley Middle School
Attention all Coyotes! The Glow Dance is an event not to be missed! We will have concessions and glow wear available for purchase. We could also use some volunteer help during the event, sign up here.
Understanding the IEP Process
Saturday, September 22nd
2:00pm
Location: TBD
Bring your IEP and get information on how to help your child succeed to their full potential and also get to know your Inclusion Committee Members. This is a PTA only membership event so please join the WMS PTA.
On the road to LAUNCH
Wiley PTA was honored this past July to be able to attend Texas PTA's LAUNCH in Dallas. Here we joined other amazing PTAs throughout Texas to attend valuable workshops, network and get ideas that we can implement in our PTA.
Remember last year when we ended your year with 183 PTA members? Well, THIS year we have already hit 300 members! Each member gives a voice for our Coyote family. We encourage parents, students, LISD staff and community members to become a member of our Wiley Middle School PTA. Help us spread the word and grow our membership numbers!
